At SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, we believe in shaping the future of healthcare. As a PRN Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing quality imaging services to children in our community.

Position Details :

  • Schedule : PRN as needed
  • Location : MO-SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital
  • Pay Rate : Starting at $29 / hour with daily pay available!
  • Shift Differentials : Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts

What You'll Do :

  • Perform x-rays and support the imaging department through various procedures including plain films and bone density scans.
  • Ensure patient comfort and understanding by explaining each procedure and providing educational materials.
  • Safely transport patients, verify their identities, and prepare them for exams by positioning them appropriately.
  • Follow all radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.
  • Administer contrast media and medications as per established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormalities.
  • Submit high-quality images and necessary documentation to PACS promptly.
  • Confirm that all equipment is functioning properly and report any potential malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment within the radiology department.
  • Possibly assist with limited CT procedures in emergencies when required.

    • Qualifications :

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program.
  • ARRT-R certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience required.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of vision for tasks near and far.
  • Ability to lift and move patients safely.
  • Some lifting of objects weighing 25-50 lbs may be required.

    • Required Certifications :

  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification from AHA.
  • ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-BD Bone Density certification.
