You will provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population. We maintain a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratio. This ensures high-quality, personalized care in a supportive environment. Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia, cellulitis, and congestive heart failure. You will also care for surgical cases, including colon resections and orthopedic procedures. Monitor patients using telemetry; RN's are responsible for interpreting their own strips. Collaboration is key; work with a small team including a clinical care coordinator and a charge nurse who takes patient assignments. A house supervisor supports the team on weekends. Assist in outpatient infusions as needed, although experience is preferred for travelers. We seek candidates who are team-oriented and eager to make a meaningful impact in patient care. A strong focus on thorough charting is essential due to our commitment to quality care and maintaining lower patient ratios. Expect a high turnover of patients with frequent admissions and discharges throughout the day. There are opportunities to assist as a safety sitter or in other supportive roles. Dress code includes pewter scrub tops with black shoes and pants, with colored tops acceptable if layered. Support staff includes one CNA available for assistance. Access to high-flow oxygen and Vapotherm is available, with more complex respiratory support transferred to ICU. No call requirements, but volunteer opportunities are available.
