Job Description

Active Respiratory Therapist license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in Deatsville, AL is currently seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional respiratory care on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in respiratory therapy to support patients requiring advanced respiratory treatment and interventions.

Schedule :

  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
  • Shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • Work an 82-5% schedule

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders and diseases
  • Administer therapeutic procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and mechanical ventilation
  • Perform diagnostic testing including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement respiratory care plans
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory management and equipment use
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

    • Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and hands-on experience with respiratory care equipment and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
  • Excellent patient munication skills and attention to detail
  • State licensure as required for respiratory therapy practice
