Opportunity : RN - PCU Job Details : - Work on 5th floor cardiac progressive care unit with 40 beds - Patient ratio of 1 : 4, with stretch staffing at 1 : 5 - Every other weekend requirement - Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac catheterization / stent, and post pacemaker / ICD / ablation procedures - Must have stepdown or progressive care experience required - Telemetry experience required - Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications required (nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex / Lasix) - Preferred experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience - Equipment includes Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, bladder scanner - Electronic medical record system : Cerner - Required certifications : BLS, ACLS - Perform bedside cardioversion procedures - Float to all Med / Surg units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding - Dress code : all white or all navy blue scrubs, or white top with navy blue pants - Must demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude, teamwork, and compassion Facility : This healthcare facility features a comprehensive cardiac care program with a dedicated 40-bed progressive care unit located in the Owen Heart Center.
