Software Developer (JAVA)

Advent Global Solutions, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking Software Developers (JAVA) to design, develop, test, and implement JAVA software applications. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of computer science principles and concepts, as well as experience designing and developing system applications, to perform the duties of the position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include :

• Design, develop, test and implement JAVA software applications to enhance new functionalities for the computer application systems considering emerging JAVA technologies, software and hardware.
• Develop user interface (UI) applications.
• Coordinate with Functional managers and Computer programmers and do analysis of existing computer systems.
• Gather and document requirements and specifications.
• Perform GAP analysis and write functional specifications.
• Prepare system flow charts, Training Manuals, backup and security systems.

THIS POSITION DOES NOT SUPERVISE ANY OTHER PERSONNEL.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field of study, plus at least 6 months of experience in the job offered or in any related position(s).

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable knowledge, proficiency, and skill (gained through education or employment) with the following :

No travel. No telecommuting.

Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at variousunanticipated sites within the U.S., which may require relocation at the end of each project
