Responsibilities Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery and Antenatal unit within a hospital setting Unit features 19 labor rooms, 12 antepartum rooms, 4 recovery rooms, 8 triage rooms, and 3 operating suites Handles approximately 4,000 deliveries annually Level 2 trauma center with comprehensive stroke and chest pain designations Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 : 1 Duties include circulating and recovering C-sections 12-hour day shifts required No call required, but must pick up one extra shift per 4-week cycle Scheduling on opposite shifts may occur based on unit needs Responsibility includes immediate newborn care and fetal monitoring interpretation Orientation sessions held every Monday Local candidates accepted if not residing in Tallahassee Block scheduling cannot be accommodated Must be willing to float within department as needed Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience At least 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery required; LDRP or Mother Baby experience preferred Certifications required : AHA-BLS, AHA-ACLS, NRP, AWHONN-Advanced Fetal Monitoring Strong ECG interpretation and immediate newborn care skills required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627811.
