ASM Project Manager - Seller / Doer

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with seller / doer experience in Architectural Sheet Metal to lead and manage projects from estimation to execution in San Jose, CA. This role involves defining project scopes, developing budgets, estimating costs, and overseeing plans and documentation. The Project Manager coordinates procurement, manages resources, ensures efficient project execution, and maintains financial oversight. Strong leadership, effective communication, and a focus on client satisfaction are key to success. Key Responsibilities

  • Professional Communication : Develop and maintain clear, professional communication with co-workers and clients.
  • Client Relationships : Build and nurture strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Sales Development : Make sales contacts, research customer needs, and follow up on leads to drive revenue growth.
  • Revenue Goals : Meet or exceed established revenue and profit targets.
  • Client Engagement : Attend client project meetings and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Team Leadership : Establish, manage, and provide leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Problem-Solving : Proactively identify and resolve project-related issues to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction.
  • Procurement : Purchase necessary materials and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Cost Management : Maintain control of project budgets and provide accurate cost projections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Mentorship : Lead by example and mentor team members, contributing to a positive and growth-oriented department culture.
  • Accountability : Support accountability across individual projects as well as within the ASM department.
  • Procedural Adherence : Uphold and follow established Air Systems Project Management procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in Architectural Sheet Metal.
  • Expertise in projects like Metal Roofing, Louvers, Column Covers, Architectural Flashings, and Metal Siding.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer relations skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Creative and proactive, utilizing resources to meet project goals efficiently.
