Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-Level Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This position is ideal for professionals with several years of estimating experience who are ready to take on more complex projects and greater ownership of the bidding process.
The Estimator will prepare comprehensive cost estimates, lead portions of the bidding process, and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or other relevant tools for quantity take-offs, pricing, and cost analysis.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure scope alignment and competitive pricing.
- Lead bid preparations, reviewing inclusions / exclusions, and presenting final estimates to management.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to support cost control, value engineering, and scheduling.
- Maintain current cost databases for labor, materials, and equipment pricing.
- Mentor junior estimators to promote consistent estimating practices.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and site visits to verify scope and understand project conditions.
- Contribute to budget and schedule development, ensuring accuracy and practicality in project planning.
Qualifications :
3–5 years of experience in electrical or general construction estimating.Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating software.Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and pricing strategies.Proven ability to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.Familiarity with industry codes and safety standards.What We Offer :
