With a long-standing commitment to excellence, integrity, and people development, the company is seeking a Director of Operations to lead all aspects of plant operations and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing, maintenance, and operational performance.
Position Overview
The Director of Operations will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in a hands-on leadership role. This position will manage approximately 40 employees across three shifts and will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and team development in a fast-paced textile environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise, financial acumen, and a servant-leadership mindset that aligns with the company's Christian values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for all plant operations , including production, maintenance, quality, and scheduling.
- Lead and mentor a team of 40 employees across three shifts , fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Oversee all financial aspects of operations, including budgeting, cost accounting, and performance analysis.
- Drive Lean manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Manage and enhance the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program; ensure reliability of all equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and executive leadership to develop operational strategies and execute key business objectives.
- Monitor production metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Support and uphold the organization's Christian values in all leadership and operational practices.
- Maintain a safe, compliant, and quality-focused workplace environment.
Qualifications
10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in textile manufacturing , preferably in woven product operationsStrong manufacturing background with proven success in leading plant operations and cross-functional teams.Hands-on, "lead by example" management style suited for a smaller operation (approx. 40 employees).Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement principlesExperience with financial statements, cost accounting , and operational budgeting.Proven maintenance acumen with experience managing TPM programs.Experience with Vanderwheel velvet looms or similar equipment is a strong plus.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong alignment with and commitment to Christian values and servant leadership principles.
