Research Innovations, Inc. (RII) is developing transformative technology to improve the world, creating innovative software solutions for government and military clients using agile and user-centered design practices.

We are seeking a dedicated CNO Developer for our cybersecurity team to solve challenging problems for Defense and Homeland Security clients. This position requires an active US Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to upgrade to TS / SCI SAP access.

This role is tailored for DoD members transitioning to civilian life via programs like SkillBridge. RII has strong military connections, supporting transition challenges and offering mentorship and training to interns, with opportunities for full-time employment post-internship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers to develop novel software solutions
  • Design, develop, and debug new CNO software capabilities
  • Evaluate and upgrade existing CNO tools and techniques
  • Program across multiple operating systems (Windows, Unix / Linux, mobile, network devices)
  • Engage in network programming and reverse engineering
  • Create and maintain software build environments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in computer science, information systems, or network engineering, or 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience programming in C / C++ and Python
  • At least one year of development experience in Windows (Visual Studio / .NET), Unix (make files), or mission platforms (Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Android, iOS)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git, Subversion, CVS) and CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo)
  • Experience with debugging tools and reverse engineering
  • Basic knowledge of assembly programming (PPC, MIPS, x86)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Preferred skills include CNO background, embedded systems, Android, Unix / Linux kernel development, low-level programming, and network protocols.
