Construction Manager – Denver, CO
POSITION SUMMARY

The Construction Manager will report to the VP of Operations and represent an opportunity to join an awesome team on the ground floor, learn a lot and have a ton of fun as GRC grows!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manage day-to-day construction activities of a fiber optic utility network for various types of FTTX. You will be primarily working with FTTH designs.
- Work directly with the market manager to ensure safe and quality construction practices are being met by our internal and subcontract crew.
- You will be in the field working alongside the crews 75% of your day.
- Field verifies all construction progress as the work is completed.
- Field verification entails using a utility locator to identify depth and offsets of all newly placed conduits, vaults, etc.
- Collect pictures, bore logs, and other data from crews to support customer Quality Control requirements.
- Learn and apply all quality metrics to ongoing and completed work to ensure that finished construction products meet customer, municipality, and environmental specifications and requirements.
- Night work (shifts) on rotation
- You will ensure success and accuracy of internal and subcontractor work.
- You will be responsible for ensuring all UG and aerial design specifications and followed in the field.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Must have at least 3 years’ experience working with and around directional drilling crews in the utility construction industry.Must have supervisory experience.Ability to work constructively with Environmental Monitors, DOT / OSHA, Municipalities, and other stakeholders.Strong understanding of utility construction practices and terminology.Able to read, interpret and adjust various construction drawings / prints.Experience with locating systems.Strong computer skills.Experience in data management.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. The terrain is hilly, winding, and uneven.Must have 3 years' experience working with FTTH fiber jobs.PREFERRED SKILLS
