Summary :
As a competent nurse in a clinical setting, you will practice independently while addressing complex patient needs. Your role will involve providing both routine and complex care, contributing to long-range patient goals and continuous nursing development. You will also make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to ensure optimal care management.
Responsibilities :
- Meet the competencies of OneCHRISTUS, leading in your role effectively.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
- Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families aligned with your level of practice.
- Administer medications and treatments as per protocols while monitoring for side effects and the effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and the care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and provide necessary education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
Job Requirements : Education / Skills :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.Experience :
At least 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred, but new graduates are welcomed.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :
BLS certification is required.Active RN License in the state of employment or compact state.Position Requirements :

Participation in New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire is mandatory for all newly hired experienced RNs.New hires will be precepted by a trained staff member and must successfully complete organizational and department-specific competency validations.Ongoing completion of all annual competency verification requirements is expected.Experience :
One year of experience in a Critical Care setting preferred, but new graduates are welcome.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications :
Current ACLS certification is required.In accordance with the CHRISTUS Health License, Certification, and Registration Verification Policy, all associates are required to obtain necessary certifications within the designated timeframe.
Credential Grace Periods :
Experienced associates may have grace periods for obtaining additional credentials.New graduates and experienced associates new to the specialty may also have extended grace periods based on prior experience.Work Schedule : 7 AM - 7 PM
Work Type : Per Diem As Needed
