Sous Chef – Popular Steakhouse

Wildly successful renowned steakhouse is seeking a skilled Sous Chef with extensive experience in a high-volume, upscale chophouse environment. Featuring elevated American cuisine served in a luxurious Hollywood setting, this restaurant has built a loyal following and a longstanding team with low turnover. Sous Chef Responsibilities :

  • Ensure all dishes consistently meet the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Proper ordering, receiving, and inventory management, minimizing waste
  • Collaborate with and support the culinary management team
  • Lead, mentor and coach a strong culinary team, including hands-on support in the kitchen
  • Foster a positive, work environment via clear, professional communication with other employees and managers
  • Uphold best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen to assure compliance with local health department and company standard

Sous Chef Requirements :

  • 4+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Exec Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume kitchen doing at least 250 covers a night
  • Proven background in respected steakhouse settings
  • Strong grill and broiler experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment
  • Expert knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and equipment maintenance
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Compensation includes :

  • Base salary in the $80-90k range
  • 100% Medical coverage for individual
  • PTO plan
