We’re looking for aHospice RN – Regional Support to join our team. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide direct care to patients and support to families, while also serving as a floating clinician—temporarily assigned to different hospice branches based on census needs or staffing gaps. If you’re energized by new settings, adaptable to change, and passionate about purpose-driven care, this role could be a perfect fit.
As a Hospice RN – Regional Support, You Will
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for hospice patients
- Manage and implement individualized plans of care
- Support and lead interdisciplinary team members (LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, etc.)
- Assess and address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental needs
- Accurately document all care provided and ensure compliance with hospice protocols
- Educate families and caregivers on care instructions, medications, and safety
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours care as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and the care team
- Assist with referrals, regulatory documentation, and payer compliance
- Travel to various Gentiva hospice locations as assigned to fill urgent needs
Schedule & Travel
This role typically follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional on-call responsibilities. Travel is required and may include :
Option 1 : Overnight travel required to cities within a 100-mile radius.Option 2 : Frequent overnight travel to multiple states is required.Option 3 : Regional travel with overnight stays based on assignment needs.About You
A company fleet car is provided for eligible employees.
Qualifications – What You’ll Bring
Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of employmentMinimum of 1 year of RN experience (hospice, home health, acute care, long-term care, oncology or other high acuity setting)Current CPR certificationValid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportationPreferred Experience (Not Required)
Hospice and end-of-life nursing experienceSkilled in clinical assessments and compassionate communicationStrong critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skillsComfortable working in varied environments with shifting needsProficient in documentation and electronic health recordsCalm and supportive in crisis situations; skilled at family engagementWe Offer
