Salary : 90,000-110,000

Location : Grand Rapids, MI (onsite position)

About the Accounting Manager Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial decision-making across multiple entities. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong technical skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities for Accounting Manager

Manage daily cash flow activities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Oversee preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Perform and supervise monthly bank and cash account reconciliations.

Coordinate accounting activities across multiple entities, including consolidations and intercompany transactions.

Monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy and safeguard company assets.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions.

Qualifications for Accounting Manager

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA preferred.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Proficiency in ERP / accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
