HVAC Commercial Installer

Since 1983, Granite City Refrigeration and Sheet Metal, Inc. has been designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings in central Minnesota and the 5 state region. We are currently looking for an individual to help fabricate and install these systems. We are looking for a motivated individual to learn a career path, all skill levels are encouraged to apply as on the job training is available. JOB REQUIREMENTS : High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate. Mechanical ability and problem solving skills. Ability to learn new skills with on the job training. Strong communication skills and commitment to follow all customer work rules. Ability to climb up and down a ladder carrying tools, equipment, and / or parts in a safe manner. Ability to lift up to 100lbs as necessary and up to 50lbs repetitively. Professional personal appearance, good hygiene, and cleanliness is required at all times. 100% dedication to working safely, hard, being on time, and staying organized. Ability to work inside or outside in all weather conditions. Must agree to a motor vehicle record search, where permitted by law. Driving violations will not be cause for automatic application rejection. Must be able to drive to local job sites on a daily basis. WORK SKILLS REQUIRED : Strong communication skills and commitment to follow customer work rules. Strong mechanical skills. Time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks. Strong organization skills to keep track of job materials, tools, etc. Must be able to work well with coworkers, and other tradesman. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings. Pay range for this position is based on applicants experience and qualifications, expected pay range $25-30 / hour.
