Job descriptionProficiency in MS Office and ability to quickly learn to navigate instrument specific software Proven multitasking and planning / organizing skills Proven success at working independently Participate in group safety functions (10%) Continuous commitment and attention to safety in the laboratory working environment Dedication to housekeeping and safety meetings Maintaining housekeeping in area of work Signing off on all SOP and JHA before beginning project Sample preparation for instrumental analysis (90%) Sample preparation of inorganic materials. Splitting and packaging inorganic materials for shipment to other labs Working in a laboratory environment Skills include analytical weighing, sample splitting, careful organization and labeling Follow detailed methods and procedures, communicating observations Cleaning of equipment and area to not allow cross contamination of samples Experience working in a chemical laboratory Must be able to handle movement of boxes weighing approximately 20lb Safely work with hazardous chemicals Attention to detail while performing repetitive work Proficiency in MS Office Unwavering commitment to safety Strong interpersonal skills Proven success at working independently Proven multitasking and planning / organizing skills Strong oral communication skills

Granville S&T has an opening for a technician level analyst to work in the laboratory. This position is in the glass reinforcement business working within the Analytical Laboratory. The position includes sample preparation of inorganic materials with a high level of attention to detail, establishment of procedures, and care in cleaning and maintaining the equipment.
