Job Title : Welder / Fitter / Fabricator
Job Description
As a Welder and Fitter, you will be involved in fabricating metal parts and finishing units, primarily working with carbon and stainless steel. This role involves fitting and fabricating pipe or structural steel for certified tanks and pressure vessels used in water filtration and other high-pressure systems. You will work at heights up to 13 feet and may need to enter tanks, requiring comfort with enclosed spaces. A key requirement is passing a fluxcore X-ray weld test due to certification standards. You will also cut your own metal and read blueprints or drawings, performing layouts, assembling, and fitting structural steel components or pressure-containing equipment.

Work Environment
The position is in a heavy industrial environment with a night shift schedule from 4 : 30pm to 3 : 15am, Monday through Thursday, and additional shifts on Friday and Saturday. Training may occur on the first shift from 6am to 2 : 45pm, Monday to Friday. The facility is an older, open-air shop with a roof covering, subject to hot, cold, and dusty conditions. Upgrades are in progress to improve the work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
