Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring EPIC proficiency and night shift availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position based in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
  • Work schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am
  • Weekend rotation required, with every other Saturday and Sunday night
  • Expect to work one minor and one major holiday during the assignment
  • Role may float to other campuses as needed
  • Patient population includes low-risk labor and delivery cases, with 100-200 births per month
  • Use of EPIC electronic medical record system is mandatory
  • Responsibilities include providing care to laboring mothers and assisting with deliveries in a collaborative team environment
  • Night shift with expectation to cover holiday shifts as assigned (minor holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day nights; major holidays : Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve nights)
  • Modules are completed during orientation and may require 2-4 hours depending on unit
  • All first time travelers are accepted for this assignment
  • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
  • Required to complete compliance and all documentation by deadline prior to start date

  • Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Labor & Delivery, LDRP, or low-risk OB required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system required
  • Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local applicants will not be considered
