Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Associate with a degree in Packaging to provide essential support to our Project Management team. This role is for a professional who is articulate, confident, and business-minded, and will be responsible for supporting internal teams. The main expectation is to help coordinate projects and ensure internal collaboration, particularly with design teams, to meet customer needs.
The Project Associate is not expected to interact directly with customers but will have clearly defined responsibilities including preparing quotes, coordinating design requirements, managing samples and first articles, and performing ERP operations. Expectations include working closely with the Project Management team to ensure smooth project flow from concept to delivery, emphasizing accuracy and timely execution of assigned tasks.
The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills through active coordination with internal resources. Key expectations include proactively contributing ideas for continuous improvement of service delivery and supporting team goals through clear and consistent communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Support : Assist Project Managers with project execution by preparing quotes, organizing documentation, and ensuring timely follow-up on deliverables. Prepare sales presentations and ensure timely completion of all materials.
- Design Collaboration : Work closely with design and engineering teams to communicate customer requirements and follow-up on actionable packaging solutions.
- Sample & First Article Management : Coordinate the creation, tracking, and review of packaging samples and first articles to help ensure accuracy and quality.
- ERP & Documentation : Enter and manage data in ERP systems to ensure accurate tracking of orders, changes, and project milestones. Generate ad-hoc customer reports using systems like SAGE, SEI, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Cross-functional Support : Communicate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure project details are aligned across functions.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance project accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.
- Availability : Occasional travel when required.
Education / Knowledge / Skills / Experience Desired
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and suggest possible solutions to issues effectively.Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams.Confident, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple priorities.Interest in business operations, customer needs, and project support functions.Familiarity with packaging materials, testing, and design processes is preferred.Experience with ERP systems (or willingness to learn).Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong focus on areas that lead to customer satisfaction.#J-18808-Ljbffr
