Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification and at least 2 years of experience to work night shifts at a Level 1 trauma center.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Level 1 trauma, short term acute care teaching hospitalPerform CT scans in both inpatient and outpatient settingsHandle complex cases using Siemens scannersPatient population includes adult and ICU patientsProcedures include abdomen, pelvis, head / neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT angiograms, and multiplanar reconstructionNight shifts, 4x10 hours from 20 : 00 to 06 : 30Every other weekend is requiredFloating within the hospital within scope may be requiredUses Epic for EMR documentation; Epic experience is requiredExpected to perform a variety of advanced and complex CT procedures including head / neck, chest, spine, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstructionsProficiency in procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, colonography, arthrography, drainage, myelography, and transplant studies is preferredScrub colors permitted are black, red, or whiteNo on-call requirementNo local candidates within a 75-mile radius will be consideredNo more than 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract, and no time off during the first week of orientationPermanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a travelerTravelers may remain for a period of 18 months and must take a 3-month break after that periodMust pass fit testing for N95 masks; facial hair must allow for proper mask fitMonthly parking passes are available for travelers\n \n Requirements\n
Active ARRT (CT) certification required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years CT technologist experience requiredBLS certification requiredValid state license required; Missouri requires license in hand at time of submission; Illinois requires license in hand at time of submissionExperience with Siemens CT scanners preferredExperience in PACS, contrast procedures is requiredExperience in Level 1 trauma, teaching hospital, or large hospital setting is preferredSkill in IV starts, portables, and biopsies is preferredMust reside more than 75 miles from the facilityFirst-time travelers will be considered\n Benefits\n
