Job description

Location : 8200 Ferguson Office, Sacramento, CA

Schedule : Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Contract : 6-month contract with strong potential for temp-to-hire

Overview

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. This role blends customer service, administrative support, and point-of-sale coordination in both warehouse and office settings. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Provide front-line customer service to both internal teams and external clients .

Manage clerical and administrative tasks including filing, invoicing, and reconciliation.

Handle cash deposits and sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Enter and route inbound customer phone calls promptly and professionally.

Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently.

Pick up invoices from the warehouse and maintain organized records.

Support event coordination approximately twice per month.

Assist with general office management and cross-team support tasks.

Work Environment

Split between warehouse and office environments.

Must wear steel-toe boots (candidate-provided) and a safety vest (provided by Ferguson).

Fast-paced, high-volume setting requiring strong time management and adaptability.

Qualifications

Proven experience in administrative, office management, or customer service roles.

Excellent organization, communication, and multitasking skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial and clerical work.

Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling cash or sensitive documents.

Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.

Experience in construction, distribution, or related industries a plus, but not required.

Proficient with standard office software (MS Office, data entry systems, etc.)

Additional Details

Onsite role; no remote option.

Initial phone screening , followed by in-person interview .
