The Housekeeper Aide provides cleaning services to create a safe, sanitary, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents, staff, and the public. Services are maintained in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable laws to enhance residents' quality of life.

Responsibilities And Duties
Cleans assigned resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily according to facility procedures, respecting privacy and preferences.Maintains walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and floors per department procedures and cleaning schedules.Secures housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents.Disposes of trash, waste, and biohazardous materials per facility policies.Posts signs indicating safety hazards when housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards.Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) when at risk of exposure to blood or other hazardous body fluids.Complies with safety instructions and procedures when using chemical substances, referring to labels and Material Safety Data Sheets.Monitors and reports evidence of rodents or pests.Communicates with Maintenance Director for state inspections and attends survey training as instructed.Reports injury to supervisor immediately.Attends in-service education programs as assigned and applies information to job tasks.Monitors workplace for safety and fire hazards and reports potential problems.Participates in fire and disaster drills, performing assigned duties to assure resident safety.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Qualifications And Skills
Experience working in a healthcare environment in Environmental Services preferred.Friendly attitude and excellent communication skills required.Must express self adequately in written and oral communication and communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.Seniority Level
