American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least one year of cardiac cath lab or radiologic technologist experience and required ARRT and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care cardiac catheterization lab with two suitesAverage of 5-10 diagnostic and interventional cardiac cases per day, including left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, and temporary pacemakersCollaborate with physicians and cardiac team members in a high-acuity environmentUses Siemens software and equipment for proceduresEpic is used for charting and documentation4x10 hour shifts per week, rotating day and evening coverage, with scheduling based on case loadMandatory call requirement : one full week of call during every four-week schedule, plus possible weekend and holiday call on a rotating basisCall response time is 30 minutesNo floating required unless additional hours are desired and candidate is qualifiedTechnologists are responsible for scrubbing and assisting the physician with cardiac catheterization proceduresGeneral hospital orientation is provided, plus one week or up to 36 hours of department-specific computer and equipment trainingOn-call duties are required and include week-long and weekend shiftsSurgical attire is provided for all proceduresTeam includes director, coordinator, and charge nurse for supportNo local travelers accepted; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facilityCumulative assignment limit of one year within the health system; must take a two-year break after one yearFormer employees must be gone from the health system for two years before returning as an agency travelerHoliday call coverage is assigned rotationally\n \n Requirements\n
ARRT and BLS certifications are requiredCertified Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist (ARRT CI) and Certified Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist (ARRT VI) verification requiredMinimum one year of relevant Cath Lab or Radiologic Technologist experienceSterile technique knowledge requiredExperience with Siemens cath lab equipment preferredExperience with Epic EMR preferredPrior cath lab or interventional radiology experience required; first-time travelers may be considered with excellent experienceLicense required if applicableNo previous license disciplinary actions\n Benefits\n
