About the Role :

The Supplier Engineer supports key projects designed to address service cost quality of sourced components and supplier manufacturing processes. This role serves as the liaison between suppliers and Boston Scientifics operations and divisions to implement changes and resolve technical issues.

At Boston Scientific we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Collaborating with Global Sourcing Category teams to establish and execute category objectives
• Conducting risk assessment on sourced materials and build installed capacity and capability at suppliers
• Identifying material cost reduction opportunities and implementing projects (MVIP) to meet plant division and category goals
• Partnering with Supplier Quality Engineering teams to investigate non-conformances of supplied material
• Planning and executing service risk mitigation measures to ensure component sourcing continuity
• Engaging with suppliers to develop processes and perform process validation and test method validation
• Troubleshooting processes on-site at the suppliers manufacturing facility
• Partnering with internal teams to execute projects to address compliance process improvement supplier capability and capacity and changes to design and specifications as recommended
• Collaborating with R&D and Product Development teams to research develop and evaluate component design requirements to incorporate into supplier process output

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly) non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
