RN Shift Leader
Provides professional nursing care aligned with Goshen Health’s mission, vision and values. Focuses on patient and family-centered care using nursing process, holistic principles, and culturally appropriate interventions to ensure safety, continuity and advocacy.
The Shift Leader role requires strong leadership skills to support Goshen Health’s Nursing Professional Practice Model. Promotes ethical practice, collaboration, evidence-based care, and peer support. Coordinates unit operations, fosters interdisciplinary teamwork , and maintains effective communication with leadership to ensure high-quality care delivery .
Minimum Education : Registered nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license.
As of May 2021, Colleagues hired with an associate degree must enter a BSN program within 2 years of hire and earn their BSN from a NLN or CCNE accredited program within 5 years from date of hire. Effective February 2021, Colleagues hired with an associate degree and 10 or more years of nursing experience may be exempt from completing a BSN program.

Specific to unit of practice :
Critical Care - Critical Care Course & basic dysrhythmia Course
ED - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Birthplace AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course, S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification
OR and CVL - Basic Dysrhythmia Course.
Minimum Experience : Specific to unit of practice :
Inpatient Units, DS / PACU, Imaging : 6 months in area of specialty
Birthplace, ED, OR, CCC, CVL, IR : 1 year in area of specialty
Preferred Experience : Two years’ experience on unit of hire.
Certifications Required : Healthcare Provider CPR certification
