Summary :

The Gynecology Oncology Patient Service Specialist is an integral member of our incredible team of Registered Nurses, Patient Service Specialists, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Assistants and Physicians serving care to women with gynecologic cancer across the state and northern NH.

Key responsibilities of the Gynecologic Oncology Patient Service specialist include greeting patients at the front desk as they check in and check out for their appointment. Screening and documenting patient and provider phone calls in the EMR, escalating message to the appropriate pool in a timely manner. Other responsibilities include monitoring referral work-ques, running reports, collecting copays, reviewing patient forms for completeness, obtaining patient signatures, scheduling and notifying patients of follow up appointments and scanning and indexing patient records. The Patient service specialist also works closely with the clinical team, supporting and helping patients as they navigate their cancer journey.

This is a per diem position during the Monday-Friday work week.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education : High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License / Certifications : N / A
• Experience : Six months of medical office experience required.
• Additional Skills / Requirements Required : N / A
• Additional Skills / Requirements Preferred : Proficient computer skills.
