Location : Bellevue / On-site

Salary Range : $104,000 - $124,800

About the Role

Our client, a well-established group in the restaurant industry, is seeking a Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role managing a small accounting team, driving accurate financial reporting, and supporting the CFO with strategic initiatives.

Overview of the Controller Role :

• Lead accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and monthly / quarterly tax filings
• Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP; manage restaurant bookkeeping processes
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members (Staff Accountant, AP Specialist, Payroll Specialist)
• Maintain fixed assets, prepaid ledgers, and related schedules; ensure timely reconciliations
• Support payroll and HRIS functions (Paylocity) and serve as backup to Payroll Specialist
• Partner with leadership to recommend and implement improved accounting procedures and benefit plan changes
