Travel RN Job Details Job Title : SICU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment Location : Florence, South Carolina 29505 Healthcare Setting : Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Job Start Date : December 1, 2025 End Date : March 2, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), holiday rotation included Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Float Requirement : Yes, within scope and similar units Charting System : Epic Scrub Color : Royal Blue Parking : Free on-site parking Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN license or Compact nursing license (required prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent SICU RN experience (2 years preferred) Travel nursing experience required Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Experience with Epic charting system preferred Ability to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation Not accepting local travelers (must reside outside a 60-mile radius) First-time travel nurses not accepted SICU RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult and geriatric patients in the SICU Manage patient ratios of 1 : 2, ensuring safety and optimal clinical outcomes Float to similar units as needed to support hospital operations Utilize Epic for accurate and timely healthcare documentation Demonstrate advanced proficiency in cardiac and neuro patient management Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Assist with advanced procedures including chest tube insertion / removal, arterial line management, and ventilator management Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team Maintain infection prevention standards and isolation precautions Support patients and families throughout critical illness and recovery Discover the charm of Florence, SC, and enjoy southern hospitality alongside modern amenities.
