Schedule : Monday - Friday. Monday - Thursday 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Friday 12 : 30 PM - 9 : 00 PM

Sign-On Bonus : $10,000

SUMMARY :

The Inpatient Addiction Counselor plays a vital role in providing comprehensive support to clients struggling with chemical dependency. This position involves conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, and delivering effective individual and group counseling. You will collaborate within a clinical team to ensure a harmonious patient community while delivering care in both acute and residential settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Serve as the primary therapist delivering Substance Use Disorder treatment through both individual and group counseling.
• Oversee and manage patient community dynamics.
• Coordinate care management and assist with discharge planning, including housing and continuing care referrals.
• Complete progress summaries and patient documentation promptly and efficiently.
• Submit insurance authorization requests and manage denial appeals in a timely manner.
• Conduct quality audits of patient records and processes.
• Provide initial and ongoing assessments to determine diagnoses and the appropriate level of care.
• Engage clients through individual, family, and group counseling sessions.
• Develop culturally sensitive and individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate effectively with other care providers and referral sources to enhance client understanding.
• Participate in professional supervision and educational opportunities to improve client care outcomes.
• Complete all medical record documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and timelines.
• Actively participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team in coordinating and delivering patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and management as required.

Responsibilities involve sedentary work, occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force. While the role primarily requires sitting, occasional walking or standing may be needed.
