- Who We Are Looking For :
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in both clinical and home health environments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Home Health Responsibilities :
- Perform in-home evaluations to assess the patient's communication and swallowing needs in their natural environment.
- Design and implement tailored therapy programs that accommodate the patient's home setting and functional routines.
- Provide education and training to family members and caregivers on communication techniques and strategies to support the patient.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Advocate for necessary modifications and equipment to enhance communication and safety at home.
- Build rapport with patients and families to encourage engagement in the therapeutic process.
- In-Clinic Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing functions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational / physical therapists, school professionals, and ABA staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families about communication strategies and therapy exercises.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based techniques in speech-language pathology.
- Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience in a pediatric clinical and / or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Capacity to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
