Product Design, Co-Op

This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to our team within State Street's Global Technology Services organization. Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients. We're driving the company's digital transformation and expanding business capabilities using industry best practices and advanced technologies. In this role, you will perform the following day-to-day activities :

Assist in designing user-friendly interfaces for financial products, ensuring consistency with State Street's design standards.

Support user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights from financial professionals.

Help create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes using tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and senior designers to understand design requirements and contribute ideas.

Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the design system, including component libraries in Figma.

Apply basic principles of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to organize complex financial data.

Learn and apply accessibility standards (ADA / WCAG) to ensure inclusive design practices.

Participate in Agile / Scrum workflows and attend design reviews and sprint planning sessions.

Explore emerging technologies like AI and their potential impact on financial UX / UI design.

Present design concepts and research findings to team members, incorporating feedback to improve solutions.

Candidates should be :

Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in front end engineering or related technical disciplines who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation.

Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic, technology-driven organization.

Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Salary Range : $41,600 - $65,000 Annual
