Job Title : Payroll Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist for a full-time, on-site position at our Fife, WA location. The working hours are from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. The role requires a pre-employment drug and background check. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and reviewing weekly payroll for all hourly and salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now.

Responsibilities

• Ensure payroll accuracy by verifying hours, earnings, deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
• Manage payroll compliance with a strong understanding of Washington wage and hour laws, overtime rules, and state / local tax regulations.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates to employee data, tax information, and direct deposits.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting to reconcile payroll data, benefit deductions, and general ledger entries.
• Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Support quarterly and year-end activities including W-2s, tax filings, and audits.
• Stay current with payroll-related laws and ADP system enhancements to ensure continued compliance and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and vapor from coolant. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fife, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 / hr.
