Requirements and Primary Responsibilities :
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a technical discipline directly relevant to AWS cloud and infrastructure
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience designing, deploying, and administering enterprise-level AWS (including AWS GovCloud) solutions in a DoD, Federal, or highly regulated environment. Experience must include hands-on multi-tenant cloud architecture, migration, high-availability, and automation
- Possess a current AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (or equivalent AWS Professional-level certification) demonstrating expertise in AWS cloud architecture, best practices, and cloud operationalization
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining security and compliance in AWS environments, including RMF / NIST SP 800-53, DoD CC SRG IL4 / IL5 controls, and continuous monitoring
- Direct, hands-on experience with automated provisioning, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform), and DevSecOps pipelines using AWS native services and / or industry tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CodeCommit
- Possess a minimum of an active DoD Secret security clearance at the time of proposal submission
Desired Qualifications :
Eight (8+) or more years' experience leading AWS cloud infrastructure projects for DoD systems / applications operating at CC SRG IL4 / IL5 with proven history of working alongside authorizing officials in ATO / continuous monitoring processesAdvanced knowledge and operational experience with AWS GovCloud (US), including secure network architecture, VPC peering, hybrid cloud integrations, VPNs, AWS Directory Services, and managing multi-environment (Dev / Test / Prod) deployments and controlsHands-on experience with cloud security operations, AWS-native security services (IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Inspector, Config), and real-world defense against evolving cyber threats in AWS environmentsExperience executing large-scale cloud migration or data modernization efforts (ideally involving >1M records or complex, sensitive data sets) into AWS GovCloud for DoD or Federal clients, including associated testing, data assurance, rollback, and documentation
Holds additional certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, ISC2 CISSP, or SANS GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA)Demonstrated ability to collaborate on operations with Government personnel, third-party engineering teams, and contractors on secure cloud sustainment, cost optimization, resource scaling, and business continuity planningExperience drafting cloud-related system documentation (architecture diagrams, cloud compliance artifact generation), implementing patch management and backup / disaster recovery plans, and supporting the on-demand provisioning of secure DoD-grade analytics / data lake solutions
