This travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to work with complex neurological patients—including those with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, post-op craniotomies, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors—in a state-of-the-art, 30-bed Neuro ICU.   • Location : Indianapolis, IN 46237 – Explore Indiana’s capital, known for its diverse healthcare jobs, welcoming neighborhoods, and cultural attractions.\n
  • Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)\n
  • Unit : Neuro Critical Care / Neuro ICU (30 beds)\n
  • Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)\n
  • Weekly Hours : 36\n
  • Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 24 / 2025 – End : 12 / 24 / 2025)\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend (Friday / Saturday nights)\n
  • Estimated Weekly Pay : $1780 - $1910\n
  • EMR : Epic\n
  • Scrub Color : Navy\n

    • \n\nICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience (Neuro ICU experience strongly preferred)\n
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
  • Proficient in comprehensive assessment and care of hemodynamically unstable and mechanically ventilated patients\n
  • Strong neurological assessment skills\n
  • Ability to float to other inpatient nursing units as needed\n
  • Preferred : Experience with Pupillometer, EVD, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and Epic EMR\n
  • Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and compassionate patient care\n

    • \n\nICU RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neuro patients in the Neuro ICU\n
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor neurological status\n
  • Manage care for patients using advanced equipment : Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans\n
  • Float to other inpatient units as required by hospital needs\n
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training, including Epic EMR\n
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient safety standards\n
