SOP Writer Position

The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Writer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the SOP library within the Medical Pre-Payment Policy and Pre-Certification Management team. This role is essential for ensuring operational consistency, regulatory compliance, and the transfer of institutional knowledge. The SOP Writer acts as a bridge between technical experts, managers, and end-users, converting complex processes into clear, actionable documents that guide daily operations.
SOP Development
The SOP Writer will :
Process Improvement
Collaborate with teams to identify inefficiencies and areas where SOPs can improve consistency and quality.
Documentation
Ensure user-friendly formats to present SOPs in formats like flowcharts, diagrams, and checklists to aid comprehension.
Collaboration
Work with SMEs and staff to gather insights, clarify procedures, and validate content.
Training and Implementation
Support SOP rollout by participating in training sessions, creating supplementary materials, and answering user queries.
Document Management
Oversee SOP organization by managing the storage and lifecycle of SOPs within document management systems, ensuring easy accessibility and version control.
Continuous Improvement
Solicit feedback, monitor SOP effectiveness, and initiate improvements to enhance.
Required Qualifications
Experience : 3-5 years of progressive experience in clinical operations, with a focus on developing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Knowledge : Familiarity with medical terminology, healthcare policy, and governance is essential. Understanding of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) or other regulatory bodies is a significant asset. Skills : Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills are critical. Technical Proficiency : High-level proficiency in productivity software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other document management systems is necessary. Education
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in technical writing are a plus.
