Our client is a forward-thinking engineering and automation firm expanding its services into the data center industry. They are seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented leader to launch and scale this new vertical, driving strategy, partnerships, and high-impact automation initiatives.

This is an onsite role with 50% travel nationwide. You can live in Omaha, NE, Sioux Falls, SD, or Sioux Center, IA.

As the Director, you will define and execute a bold growth plan for automation, EPMS, BMS integrations, and OT / IT systems across hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers. You will lead business development efforts, build strong client relationships, and represent this company in the market while developing partnerships with technology providers and industry influencers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams through business development, project delivery, and operations to win and execute large-scale automation projects.
• Develop and refine service offerings through collaboration on innovation, productization, and go-to-market strategies.
• Develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee commercial outcomes, including P&L, contracting, risk management, and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a strategic business leader with experience in data center projects and a deep understanding of automation systems and integration. Strong leadership, client engagement, and commercial management skills are essential, as is experience with EPMS, BMS, SCADA, and OT / IT networks.
