Purpose
The Content Creator & Digital Marketer will play a key role in generating ticket sales and driving long-term attendance growth at Santa’s Village. This position is responsible for attracting new visitors and keeping established visitors engaged through creative brand management, storytelling, and strategic digital marketing initiatives.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Audience Engagement : Develop and share content that inspires audiences to explore the park’s mission, Pure Joy. Family Style., and discover all of its services.
- Content Creation : Capture and edit photos and videos; produce compelling content from start to finish that showcases the park’s unique experiences.
- Creative Production : Generate graphics and multimedia assets that illustrate the park’s qualities, services, and seasonal offerings.
- Content Strategy : Prepare, execute, and oversee content plans that foster strong emotional connections with visitors.
- Community Interaction : Build meaningful relationships with potential visitors and established fans through email campaigns, newsletters, and social media engagement.
- Digital Marketing : Create messaging, establish content calendars, and develop digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and conversions.
- Performance Tracking : Measure and report on KPIs such as website traffic, email opens, click-throughs, conversions, follows, shares, and other engagement metrics.
- Analytics & Optimization : Use analytics tools and data to identify trends, optimize campaigns, research keywords, monitor competitors, and explore new opportunities for growth.
Areas of Focus
Owned Media
Manage, prioritize, and continually update owned channels—including the website, social media platforms, and email newsletters. Identify and assess opportunities forexpanding into new owned channels.
Paid Media & Membership Media
Develop ad creative for paid media campaigns. Collaborate with internal and external partners to update and monitor ad content across paid and membership / association media channels.Shared Media
Encourage visitors, fans, advocates, and ambassadors to share content. Strategically use hashtags and amplify positive user-generated posts to expand reach andinfluence.
Earned Media
Respond to traditional media inquiries and provide images, information, and interview support as appropriate. Evaluate requests from influencers and non-traditionalmedia for alignment and value, ensuring responses are timely and professional.
Knowledge
Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, or content creationStrong skills in photography, videography, and editing (Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools)Demonstrated ability to create, manage, and execute strategiesExperience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) to measure and optimize performanceExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiencesCreative, collaborative, and detail-oriented mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand growthExtent of Public Contact
The Content Creator will interact with both the public and the Santa’s Village employees while at the park. Expect to interact with the public on a very frequent basis in house, as well as in written communication via emails and social media inquiries.
Physical Demands
Much of the workday consists of sitting & standing. Often this person will be walking throughout the park gathering content, as well as at a computer compiling it.
Working Conditions and Environment
Daytime and Christmastime position which may include weekends and holidays. Position is mostly indoors.
Job Requirements
Associate’s degree in a Marketing related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferredRecent college graduates are encouraged to apply!Extensive knowledge of Santa’s Village is preferredMust have excellent oral communication and customer service skillsMust be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shiftMust be flexible throughout the year, with weekend availability
