Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will manage 18-22 patients for one physician daily, conducting comprehensive patient workups. This includes gathering previous medical history, taking manual vitals, performing blood draws, and conducting medication reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct full patient workups including previous medical history, manual vitals, blood draws, and medication reconciliation.
• Manage 18-22 patients daily for one physician, with appointments scheduled at 30-minute intervals.
• Perform blood draws using both straight needles and butterfly methods.
• Provide care and perform procedures on patients primarily aged 55 and older, focusing on the underserved population.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED).
• Graduation from a nationally accredited program in Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician Program, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic.
• A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT, or Paramedic.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
• EMR system experience preferred.

Work Environment

The work schedule is either 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. You will be rooming 18-22 patients daily with appointments set at 30-minute intervals. The patient demographic focuses on individuals aged 55 and older, emphasizing the underserved population.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
