Recreation Program Instructor Active Agers Programming

The City of Lenexa is seeking a Recreation Program Instructor to join our team at the Lenexa Old Town Activity Center. If youre creative energetic and passionate about making a difference in the lives of our 50-plus community this role is a great fit for you!

As a Recreation Program Instructor youll plan lead and supervise engaging programs for adults aged 50 and older. Youll create meaningful experiences for participants by organizing activities coordinating day tours in Kansas City and surrounding areas and delivering exceptional customer service.

Schedule :

• Varying hours within MondayFriday 8 a.m.5 p.m. with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Approximately 1015 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications :

Starting rate of pay is $16.50 per hour.

Physical and Environmental Factors :

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings. This position requires the ability to lift and move supplies and materials for recreation programs activities and events. Visual acuity is needed for reviewing information. During special events long periods of standing with limited breaks may be required.

Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
