Job descriptionRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping diagrams. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required specifications using hand and power tools. Install pipe systems, supports, and fixtures in alignment with project requirements. Test piping systems for leaks using hydrostatic or pneumatic testing methods. Fabricate templates, make field adjustments, and ensure accuracy of pipe runs. Work closely with welders to assemble and fit piping systems. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Minimum 2–5 years of pipefitting experience in shipyard, marine, or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, etc.) and fittings. Proficient in pipe measuring, layout, and installation techniques. Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in challenging environments. Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.
