Excelsior Defense is seeking highly skilled and vigilant Security Officers to provide overnight protection at the Memphis VA Medical Center. Position : Overnight Security Officer

Location : Memphis VA Medical Center, Memphis, TN

Job Type : Full-time / Part-time, Overnight Shifts

Responsibilities :

• Access Control & Monitoring : Operate and enforce a personnel identification system, inspect packages as required, and manage controlled entry throughout the night.
• Proactive Patrols : Conduct thorough foot or vehicle patrols in key areas to deter unauthorized activity, ensuring a visible security presence for the safety of the facility and its occupants.
• Incident Management & Reporting : Identify and report any potential safety hazards, suspicious activity, or unauthorized access attempts immediately to VA Police. Handle emergency situations, civil disturbances, and provide evacuation assistance following VA protocols.
• Professional Interaction : Maintain a professional and helpful demeanor, assisting visitors and employees, and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
• Emergency Readiness : Respond swiftly to alarms, perform health and safety checks, administer first aid and CPR if needed, and coordinate with emergency responders to manage overnight incidents effectively.
