Reconstruction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Reconstruction Manager to lead and oversee all reconstruction projects from start to finish. This role is perfect for an organized, financially minded professional who excels in communication, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will manage project budgets, coordinate trades, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management

Develop, manage, and track project budgets, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs.

  • Ensure all reconstruction jobs meet or exceed profit margin goals.
  • Approve estimates, change orders, and job costing reports.
  • Monitor performance metrics and proactively adjust workflows to maintain efficiency and profitability.
  • Communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams.

  • Provide clear, timely updates regarding project status, timelines, and expectations.
  • Collaborate effectively with mitigation, construction, and administrative teams to ensure smooth job progression.
  • Maintain professional, customer-focused communication to support high NPS scores and 5-star reviews.
  • Problem Solving & Leadership
  • Anticipate project challenges and implement proactive solutions.

  • Manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality.
  • Oversee subcontractors and in-house crews, enforcing safety standards and jobsite best practices.
  • Resolve customer concerns swiftly and effectively to protect customer satisfaction and company reputation.
  • Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in reconstruction or residential / light commercial construction management.
  • Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing budgets and job costing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make confident decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, scopes, and insurance documents.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Experience in restoration (water / fire / mold) reconstruction.
  • Proven history of meeting profit margins and customer satisfaction KPIs.
