Surveillance Project Manager
We are seeking a Surveillance Project Manager to lead the planning and implementation of radar and surveillance system projects within BNATCS. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, in compliance with FAA standards, and fully integrated into operations. This position is hybrid and based on customer needs, the successful candidate should expect frequent, and at times short-notice, on-site requirements at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC. For this reason, only those located within a 100-mile radius of FAA Headquarters will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Lead planning and execution of radar system deployments, upgrades, and site integration.
- Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, site operations, and logistics teams to support seamless deployments.
- Act as the primary interface with FAA stakeholders on radar implementation readiness.
- Oversee site preparation, installation, testing, and acceptance activities.
- Ensure compliance with FAA safety, certification, and performance standards.
- Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and progress to leadership and the FAA.
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
Bachelor's degree and at least ten (10) years of project management experience, preferably in radar or surveillance system implementations.Proven track record delivering large, mission-critical projects.Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.PMP or PgMP certification.What Desired Skills You'll Bring :
Experience with FAA radar systems (ASR, ARSR, ASDE, or similar).Background in projects impacting the National Airspace System.Security Clearance Requirement : None
