Preventive Maintenance Supervisor

Overview
Easy Foods Inc. is seeking a detail-driven and disciplined Preventive Maintenance (PM) Supervisor to coordinate and lead all scheduled maintenance activities in a high-speed tortilla manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for executing planned maintenance using structured project schedules and ensuring reliable performance of plant assets without disrupting ongoing production.
Key Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance Execution
- Own the execution of preventive maintenance plans developed in project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project) for each maintenance day.
- Track task completion, timing, and progress throughout the day using earned value principles to identify delays and maintain visibility to milestones.
- Monitor progress along the critical path and raise early warnings on deviations or resource constraints.
- Coordinate handoffs and ensure all PM activities are executed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact to production readiness.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the day-of leader during planned maintenance events, collaborating with sanitation and production to deconflict tasks and resource usage.Lead shift start meetings, midday check-ins, and end-of-day debriefs with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and accountability.Escalate issues, reallocate labor, and communicate timing risks to the Maintenance Manager and affected departments.Support & Line Coverage Management
Supervise a team of PM-focused mechanics and lubrication / inspection techs.Partner closely with a Maintenance Lead (separate from PM execution) who supports real-time line troubleshooting and unplanned downtime response — allowing the PM team to stay focused on scheduled work.Maintain awareness of plant-wide mechanical needs and coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to avoid conflicts between reactive and proactive maintenance demands.CMMS and Reliability Feedback
Ensure work orders are properly tracked and closed in the CMMS with detailed notes and component-level feedback.Collaborate with reliability and planning teams to adjust future PM scopes based on findings and asset performance data.Safety and Compliance
Enforce LOTO, GMP, OSHA, and food safety requirements during all PM events.Conduct task audits and equipment walkdowns to ensure safe execution of work.Required Qualifications
5+ years in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or coordination role.Strong hands-on mechanical knowledge of production equipment, preferably in food or high-throughput manufacturing.Experience executing planned maintenance schedules and tracking progress using tools such as MS Project, spreadsheets, or visual boards.Familiarity with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance procedures.Excellent time management and cross-functional communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Food manufacturing experience, ideally with tortilla production equipment : presses, ovens, coolers, mixers, conveyors, and packaging lines.Familiarity with TPM, SMED, or Lean maintenance practices.Bilingual English / Spanish.Understanding of earned value tracking or milestone-driven project execution.Work Environment
