ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

We ensure a full-spectrum of high quality, whole-person care. Promoting member education, preventive services, care coordination, and evidence-based treatments are core to our mission. NHP partners include Centennial Mental Health Center, North Range Behavioral Health, Salud Family Health Centers, and Sunrise Community Health. NHP is the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) designated to provide high quality physical and behavioral health services to Health First Colorado (Medicaid) Members in Region 2, comprised of 10 counties in northeastern Colorado.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to foster strong relationships between NHP and the communities it serves in Region 2, comprised of 10 counties in northeastern Colorado.
This role involves promoting outreach initiatives, organizing events, and facilitating communication to enhance community involvement and support for the organization.
DUTIES PERFORMED
Build and maintain relationships with community members, organizations, and local leaders.
Collaborate with internal teams to design community-focused initiatives.
Create promotional materials, newsletters, and social media content to communicate with the community.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement strategies.

WORKING CONDITIONSWork is primarily performed in a standard office environment; however, a hybrid work model may be offered, blending in-office and remote work opportunities based on organizational needs and job requirements. Some meetings will occur at locations outside of the usual work location, including the use of conference and electronic meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, GoToMeeting). All positions require travel within the counties NHP serves.
This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours for events and meetings. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet the needs of the community.
