The Strategic Alignment (SA) team, as part of the Alignment, Contracts, and Supply Chain Legal (AXL) organization is a crucial business partner for integration / alignment in strategies, processes, and execution of contracts for our customer's most critical programs. We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Contracts leadership role supporting our Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This position will offer an opportunity to expand your breadth of experience in Contracts and Supply Chain, while engaging across multiple programs on broad, complex, and strategic challenges to meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities to anticipate :

• Establish trusting relationships and engage directly with Contracts Managers and Material Program Managers to improve alignment between our prime contract and supply chain.
• Advise on prime contract Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) and / or on subcontract T&Cs by understanding the business impact of misaligned terms.
• Help drive contracts symmetry though the value chain by aligning terms, conditions, and requirements with customers through to suppliers.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external senior level customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships, resolve complex and multi-faceted problems, and influence business decisions.
• Play an essential role in Request for Proposal (RFP), capture and proposal strategy, and negotiation objectives and strategies, seeking alignment of supplier subcontracts with prime contract requirements in all phases of the pursuit.
• Align program objectives and Strategic Business Unit business goals through the utilization of early engagement business process tools such as : Creation of applicable Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) clauses for utilization throughout the value stream; Risk assessment and mitigation strategies for both capture and execution phases of key programs; and Pursuing Better Business Deals through enhanced negotiation alignment for strategic pursuits.

Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role : Hybrid : Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
