Manufacturing Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to support and optimize our production operations. This role plays a key part in improving processes, driving efficiency, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting our continuous improvement culture across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Process Improvement
- Support Production teams with process optimization initiatives and daily problem-solving.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in departmental continuous improvement activities, promoting a culture of lean thinking and waste reduction.
- Build a strong working knowledge of production departments, machines, and processes.
Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
Assist Production Team Leaders with establishing, verifying, and maintaining processes using CP, FMEAs, Work Standards, Check Sheets, and Business Plan objectives.Collaborate with Team Leaders to maintain targeted “issues lists” and perform data collection for areas underperforming.Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap rates, and short-stop reports to identify improvement opportunities.Develop and present detailed reports that analyze trends, highlight problem areas, and support countermeasures.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Schedule and lead meetings with Managers, Quality Control, and Engineering to review performance data and drive corrective actions.Track improvement activities and changing points through regular follow-up and documentation.Attend all production-related meetings to stay aligned with operational goals and priorities.Quality, Safety & Compliance
Promote and enforce adherence to IATF 16949 (work standards, regulations, quality manual) and ISO 14001 (recycling, waste reduction) standards.Ensure a safe, clean, respectful, and harassment-free work environment.Lead and enhance department 5C initiatives (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).Communication & Leadership
Maintain open and effective communication with management, supervisors, associates, and suppliers.Support additional engineering or operational projects as assigned by management.Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or production-related field required .Minimum 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.Previous engineering experience preferred .Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems preferred .Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.Schedule
