Histology Technologist

Pride Health is hiring a Histotechnologist III to support our client's medical facility based in Milwaukee, WI 53211

Job Title : Histotechnologist III

Location : Milwaukee, WI 53211

Pay Range : $30-$31 per hour (Shift diff of $1.75 will be added once the candidate starts)

Schedule : 2nd shift.1pm-930pm

Duration : 3 Months +

What You'll Do :

Perform all routine and special paraffin histotechnology tasks, including embedding, cutting, staining, and tissue processing

Conduct accurate gross descriptions of tissue samples

Operate laboratory instruments and troubleshoot issues according to standard procedures

Perform and document quality control checks on histological methods and processes

Ensure all test results are accurately recorded, reviewed, and released in the Laboratory Information System

Recognize testing errors or discrepancies and assist in problem-solving

Support fellow team members in identifying and analyzing abnormal results

Meet productivity and turnaround time benchmarks for both routine and STAT cases

What We're Looking For :

Associate degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related Life Science

Completion of an accredited Histology training program (minimum 720 hours)

Current state licensure (required for CA, FL, NY)

Meets CLIA personnel standard requirements

Demonstrated skills in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and staining

Minimum of 5–7 years of hands-on histotechnology experience
