Inbound (Put away) - 1st shift

Warehouse Material Handler

Job Purpose : To perform loading / unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers. Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by the customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Loading / unloading truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
• Picking and moving from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. or more multiple times.
• Ensuring all documentation is properly completed.
• Coordinating with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies.
• Proper storing of all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location.
• Ensuring all shipments are properly marked before storing / picking.
• Maintaining warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
• Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse.
• Coordinating paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.
• General maintenance of area surrounding warehouse.
• Ensuring trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty.
• Ensuring all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
• Processing outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.
• Ability to operate Stand-up Reach Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and some sit-down forklift work.
• Following all safety procedures at all times.
• Must be able to build pallets and break down stock.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Other tasks as assigned by manager.
